At its April 27, 2011, meeting, the Rockledge Community Redevelopment Agency Board of Directors unanimously approved a Façade Improvement Grant for Brevard Vision Center in the maximum permissible amount of $10,000.
 On May 11, we spotted workers making renovations to the east side of the structure!
As part of the Façade Improvement Grant Agreement, Brevard Vision Center will be refurbishing the exterior of the building with fresh, new paint; making improvements to the existing sign to include an LED retrofit; undergoing structural improvements to damaged areas of the parking lot; and implementing enhancements to the irrigation system.
An important incentive for area businesses, the Rockledge Community Redevelopment Agency’s Facade Improvement Grant Program provides an opportunity for merchants to improve their structures or properties with matching grant funding of up to $10,000. By supporting projects that will improve the infrastructure and enhance the overall aesthetic qualities of the City will ensure that Rockledge is a vital competitor for private-sector businesses looking to start-up or relocate in this area.
