US 1 is like a great, old Timex watch—she takes a ‘licken and keeps on tickin’.
Scheduled for another facelift in April of 2007, the old girl will emerge with 6 lanes of urban style curb and gutter, a separated bike/pedway facility, medians, new intersections, and thanks to the RCRA, about $1.5 million in enhancements.
These funds will provide decorative lights, landscaping, way-side stations, kiosks, and educational materials, speaking to the traveler about the Indian River Lagoon Scenic By-Way, Rockledge History, Local landmarks, and other colorful stories that preserve our past
